  1. Chain Plates (Link Plates)
    • These are flat, stamped components that form the links in the chain. They typically have holes for pins and, in some designs, precision-pressed holes for bushings.

  2. Rollers
    • Rollers are typically made from cast iron, structural carbon steel, or surface-hardened steel, depending on the size and requirements of the chain.
    • Function: Rollers are attached to the chain and help to reduce friction between the chain and the surfaces it moves across, facilitating smoother operation.
  3. Bushings (Sleeves)
    • Bushings are designed to provide wear resistance, and they are usually made from surface-hardened steel. Both the inner and outer surfaces of the bushings are hardened to ensure durability.
    • Function: The bushings serve as a protective element that reduces wear between moving parts, such as between the pins and the rollers, ensuring the longevity of the chain.
  4. Pins
    • Pins are typically made from carefully selected structural carbon steel, offering both wear resistance and toughness.
    • Function: Pins connect the chain plates and are integral to the movement of the chain. They need to be tough enough to withstand both wear and stress from the loads applied during operation.

These components work in unison to form the complete conveyor chain. Each part plays a critical role in the durability, performance, and efficiency of the chain system. Ensuring it can handle the required loads and continue to function smoothly under normal operating conditions.
