3V Series Cast Iron Eight-Groove Sheaves with Split Taper Bushings
3V series eight-groove taper bushed sheaves are manufactured for 3V, 3VX, banded 3V, and banded 3VX belts. They range from 4.75″ to 33.50″ in diameter. Depending on the sheave size, they are made to use a Q2, R1, or S1 split-taper bushing, which we also stock. Most of our eight-groove 3V split taper sheaves are manufactured from a high-strength grade 35 cast iron, are phosphate-coated, and are painted for anti-corrosion. All of them are balanced at the factory for smooth machinery operation.

(1) 3V-Series V-Belts
Classic 3V-Series V-Belts have a 0.38″ top-width, 0.31″ thickness, and a 38° angle, which also classifies them as a deep-wedge v-belt. 3V series belts are designed to be more compact with more drive capability than the standard 40° angle v-belts. Because of their long-term success and economical operation, they are also one of the industry’s most widely used belt series. The premium 3V-series v-belts we supply are manufactured under ISO 9001 specifications and ARPM Standards; they are oil and heat-resistant and directly interchange with other brands. 3V belts are constructed of a natural rubber compound with polyester cords and use cotton with a polyester blend cover for high durability. 3V series belts are used in most general heavy-duty industrial applications along with Heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), lawn and garden equipment, and agricultural equipment. (2) 3V-Series Banded V-Belts
3V-series v-belts are a part of the “classic” lineup of v-belts because they are one of the oldest style belts used and one of the most common styles. Our belts are manufactured by ARPM standards and offer superior strength, durability, and performance. 3V-series v-belts have a 0.38″ top-width per belt (band/ rib).
(3) 3VX Cogged V-Belts
3VX cogged v-belts are designated by having a 0.38″ top-width and 0.31″ thickness. Our cogged 3VX v-belts are manufactured with raw-edge sidewalls to eliminate slippage and increase efficacy, saving operation costs. They are also manufactured by ARPM standards and are oil and heat-resistant. 3VX belts are constructed from a high-quality chloroprene compound with high-strength polyester chords and have a top fabric built from a cotton polyester blend. (4) 3VX Banded Cogged V-Belts

Due to their design, banded 3VX cogged v-belts run smoother, more relaxed, and typically outlast a standard banded C v-belt. They also offer a higher efficiency than ordinary banded v-belts, which means fewer energy costs. We can also stock sheaves/ pulleys for 3VX banded belts.

What Are the Advantages of Pulleys over Couplings?
Much mechanical equipment must use transmission components as an intermediate medium to transmit mechanical power to terminal equipment. Couplings and pulleys are commonly used transmission components for mechanical equipment. What are the advantages of pulleys compared with collars?
Large and efficient. The coupling is used to connect the driving shaft and the driven shaft in different mechanisms to rotate together, transmitting motion and torque to mechanical parts. It is a short-distance connection between motors and equipment. But because of the direct link, the coupling speed is much lower than the speed of the pulley.
The pulley belongs to the hub-type parts, and the relative size is generally relatively large. The manufacturing process is usually based on casting and forging. It is mainly used on the occasion of long-distance transmission of power. Compared with the coupling, its application advantages are reflected in the following aspects:
- The pulley is suitable for the transmission method of two transmission devices at a long distance.
