3V Series Cast Iron Six-Groove QD Sheaves for “3V” Belts
3V series six-groove QD (quick detachable) bushed sheaves are manufactured for 3V, 3VX, banded 3V, and banded 3VX belts. They range from 4.75″ to 33.50″ in diameter. Depending on the sheave size, they are made to use an SK, SF, or E QD bushing, which we also stock. Most of our six-groove 3V QD sheaves are manufactured from a high-strength grade 35 cast iron, are phosphate-coated, and are painted for anti-corrosion. All of them are balanced at the factory for smooth machinery operation.

Matching 3V, 3VX Series V-Belt
(1) 3V-Series Deep Wedge V-Belts
Classic 3V-Series V-Belts have a 0.38″ top-width, 0.31″ thickness, and a 38° angle, which also classifies them as a deep-wedge v-belt. Design 3V series belts to be more compact with more drive capability than the standard 40° angle v-belts. Because of their long-term success and economical operation, they are also one of the industry’s most widely usefull belt series. The premium 3V-series v-belts we supply are manufactured under ISO 9001 specifications and ARPM Standards; they are oil and heat-resistant and directly interchange with other brands. 3V belts are constructed of a natural rubber compound with polyester cords and use cotton with a polyester blend cover for high durability. 3V series belts are used in most general heavy-duty industrial applications along with Heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), lawn and garden equipment, and agricultural equipment. We also stock a complete line of high-power v-belts along with the accompanying v-belt pulleys/ sheaves.
(2) 3VX Cogged V-Belts
3VX cogged v-belts are designated by having a 0.38″ top-width and 0.31″ thickness. Our cogged 3VX v-belts are manufactured with raw-edge sidewalls to eliminate slippage and increase efficacy, saving operation costs. They are also manufactured by ARPM standards and are oil and heat-resistant. 3VX belts are constructed from a high-quality chloroprene compound with high-strength polyester chords and have a top fabric built from a cotton polyester blend. Besides the performance, durability, and energy savings benefits, our cogged v-belts will work with existing v-belt pulleys/ sheaves.
(3) 3V-Series Banded V-Belts
3V-series v-belts are a part of the “classic” lineup of v-belts because they are one of the oldest style belts used and one of the most common. Our belts are manufactured by ARPM standards and offer superior strength, durability, and performance. 3V-series v-belts have a 0.38″ top-width per belt (band/ rib).
(4) 3VX Banded Cogged V-Belts
Manufactur all our v-belts are by ARPM specifications and offer superior performance and durability. Due to their design, banded 3VX cogged v-belts run smoother, more relaxed, and typically outlast a standard banded C v-belt. They also offer a higher efficiency than ordinary banded v-belts, which means fewer energy costs.
Accessories QD Bushings
QD bushings are utilized throughout the industrial power transmission and agricultural industry for various sprockets, sheaves, pulleys, and synchronized drives. They are designed for easy installation and easy uninstallation; they are also commonly referred to as quick-disconnect bushings. QD bushings can help conventional mounting with the flange outboard and reverse mounting to where the flange is inboard and utilize a single split that extends through the entire bushing length. Does the Rust of the Pulley Affect the Use?
Friends who often use pulleys know that pulleys, as cast iron parts, are relatively easy to rust. At this time, many friends asked me, does the rest of the pulley affect the use? Will rust on the pulley surface accelerate belt wear? For this question, I can tell you for sure that the rust on the surface of the pulley will not affect the use, nor will it accelerate the wear of the belt.
As long as you pay attention to observation, you will find that the belt groove of the pulley will become brighter and brighter with frequent use, and the belt only contacts the belt groove of the pulley. Of course, the rust on the surface of the v belt pulley has nothing to do with the wear of the belt.
The reasons for the wear of the pulley belt:
1. Normal wear and tear, the belt has a life cycle, we must check and replace the belt regularly.
2. The quality of the pulley, such as trachoma, can affect the belt.
3. Installation problem: The improper installation of the engine pulley and belt will also affect the belt.
4. Working environment problems: due to poor working conditions, the local pulleys have jumping or abnormal work and we will repaire it
Derusting and anti-rust pulley method: There are mainly physical and chemical methods for de-rusting. The anti-rust process is to add a protective and isolation layer.
1. Physical methods include: manual rust removal, mechanical rust prevention, shot blasting, blasting, etc. Remove the rust physical means of collision, knocking, shoveling, grinding, scraping, etc. The brighter and brighter the belt groove of the frequently used pulley is a kind of physical rust removal.
2. Chemical treatment method: we also call the chemical treatment method as pickling method. The hydrogen produced by the metal action causes the oxide skin to fall off mechanically
3. There are many ways to prevent the pulley from rusting. The standard methods include smearing oil on the pulley, blackening the pulley, phosphating, and darkening, and painting to prevent the pulley from rusting.
