BLD Vertical Cycloidal Gearbox(BLD Type Cyclo Drive Reducer) employs eccentric motion to achieve its speed reduction. It uses noncircular or eccentric motion to convert input rotation into a wobbly cycloidal motion. This motion is then converted back into a circular output rotation. During this process, speed reduction occurs. Unlike Harmonic drives, which employ a flexible cylinder that doesn`t move inits entirety but stretches to mesh with the internal circular spline gear to achieve a type of cycloidal motion, the cycloidal (planetocentric) drive gearbox will actually move the entire internal gear in an eccentric motion. Cycloidal gearbox accessories such as output shaft, cycloidal bearing, end cover and the cycloidal wheel are available too.

(1) High reduction ratio and efficiency
Single-stage transmission can produce a reduction ratio of 1:87 and over 90% efficiency. The multi-stage transmission will offer a higher reduction ratio.

Cyclo Gearbox Working Principle

-All transmission device of cycloidal gearbox can be divided into three parts: input part, slowing down part, and output part.
-The input shaft has installed a dislocation 180° double eccentric locking collar that is installed two roller bearings. It forms the H mechanism. The central hole of two cycloidal wheels is just the roller table of the tumbler bearing at the eccentric locking collar. Meanwhile, it is meshed with one group of pin wheel arranged in ring shape at cycloidal wheel and pinwheel in order to consist of less differential gear inner meshing speed-down mechanism (in order to reduce friction, the pin tooth has sleeve of pin tooth at speed reducer with small speed ratio).
-When the input shaft brings an eccentric locking collar to rotate one cycle, because of the characteristic of the tooth profile curve at the cycloidal wheel as well as it is limited by up pin tooth of the pinwheel, the motion of the cycloidal wheel becomes a plane motion with a revolution and rotation. When the input shaft rotates clockwise one cycle, the eccentric locking collar rotates one cycle too. The cycloidal wheel will rotate one differential gear at the opposite direction, and the speed-down can be got. By means of the output mechanism, the low-velocity rotation motion of the cycloidal wheel will transmit to the output shaft through the axis pin, and lower output velocity can be got.

Cycloidal Reducer Gearbox Use Condition

1. The cycloidal gearbox is allowed to be used in the continuous working system while allowing the positive and negative directions to operate in two directions. Some types of the cycloidal gearboxes are only allowed to rotate in one direction.
2. The input shaft speed, rated speed of 1500 rpm/min, in the input power of greater than 18.5 kilowatts, is recommended to use 960 RPM / 6 pole motor matching.
3. Horizontal installation cycloidal gearbox working position is horizontal position. At installation, the maximum horizontal inclination is generally less than 15 degrees. More than 15 degrees, other measures should be adopted to ensure adequate lubrication and prevent oil leakage.
4. The output shaft of the cycloidal gearbox can not be subjected to larger axial and radial forces, and other measures must be taken in the case of larger axial and radial forces.

Cycloidal Gearbox Lubrication Requirements

1. The horizontal cycloid gearbox adopts oil pool lubrication under normal conditions, and the oil level can be kept in the middle of the oil sight window. When the working conditions are wrong, and the ambient temperature is high, circulating lubrication can be used.
2. Cycloid gearbox generally chooses 40# or 50# mechanical oil lubrication at room temperature. To improve the performance of the reducer and extend the service life of the cycloidal drive gearbox, it is recommended to use 70# or 90# extreme pressure gears. Lubricating oil should be reconsidered when working under high and low-temperature conditions.
3. The vertical installation of the planetary cycloid reducer gearbox must prevent the oil pump from cutting off the oil to avoid damage to the parts of the reducer.
4. When refueling, you can turn the breather cap on the upper part of the seat to refuel. When draining the oil, turn the drain plug at the bottom of the main seat to drain the dirty oil. There is no lubricating oil inside the reducer when it leaves the factory.
5. New oil should be replaced for 100 hours after the first refueling operation (clean the dirty internal oil), and then continue to work afterward. Replace every six months (8-hour work system). If the working conditions are wrong, the oil change time can be appropriately shortened. The practice has proved that frequent cleaning and oil change of the cyclo drive reducer(such as 3-6 months) play an essential role in extending the service life of the cyclo drive reducer. Lubricating oil should be frequently added during use.
6. The factory-made cycloidal gearbox has been greased and replaced every six months.
