3V series five-groove QD (quick detachable) bushed sheaves are manufactured for 3V, 3VX, banded 3V, and banded 3VX belts. They range from 4.75″ to 33.50″ in diameter. Depending on the sheave size, they are made to use an SDS, SK, SF, or E QD bushing, which we also stock. Most of our five-groove 3V QD sheaves are manufactured from a high-strength grade 35 cast iron, are phosphate-coated, and are painted for anti-corrosion. Balanced at the factory for smooth machinery operation.

(1) 3V-Series Deep Wedge V-Belts

Classic 3V-Series V-Belts have a 0.38″ top-width, 0.31″ thickness, and a 38° angle, which also classifies them as a deep-wedge v-belt. 3V series belts are designed to be more compact with more drive capability than the standard 40° angle v-belts. Because of their long-term success and economical operation, they are also one of the industry’s most widely used belt series. The premium 3V-series v-belts we supply are manufactured under ISO 9001 specifications and ARPM Standards; they are oil and heat-resistant and directly interchange with other brands. 3V belts are constructed of a natural rubber compound with polyester cords and use cotton with a polyester blend cover for high durability. 3V series belts are used in most general heavy-duty industrial applications along with Heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), lawn and garden equipment, and agricultural equipment. 3V-series v-belts are a part of the “classic” lineup of v-belts because they are one of the oldest style belts used and one of the most common. Our belts are manufactured by ARPM standards and offer superior strength, durability, and performance. 3V-series v-belts have a 0.38″ top-width per belt (band/ rib).

(3) 3VX Cogged V-Belts

3VX cogged v-belts are designated by having a 0.38″ top-width and 0.31″ thickness. Our cogged 3VX v-belts are manufactured with raw-edge sidewalls to eliminate slippage and increase efficacy, saving operation costs. They are also manufactured by ARPM standards and are oil and heat-resistant. 3VX belts are constructed from a high-quality chloroprene compound with high-strength polyester chords and have a top fabric built from a cotton polyester blend. Besides the performance, durability, and energy savings benefits, our cogged v-belts will work with existing stand pulleys/ sheaves.

(4) 3VX Banded Cogged V-Belts

Due to their design, banded 3VX cogged v-belts run smoother, more relaxed, and typically outlast a standard banded C v-belt. They also offer a higher efficiency than ordinary banded v-belts, which means fewer energy costs.

The pulley is a worn part that often shakes and slips during long-term operation. If the pulley is not checked regularly, it will also cause damage to the machine for a long time and may be directly damaged in severe cases. Therefore, in daily use, we should regularly check the pulley. What aspects of the pulley should be reviewed?

Check these three aspects of the pulley daily:

1. Pulley surface: All standard pulleys are weighted according to the standard. If there are bump marks on the surface of the pulley, it is necessary to observe whether the pulley shakes during operation. If there is vibration, it is essential to replace the pulley in time

2. Pulley belt: The pulley is driven by a belt, so we also need to check the belt regularly. After installation, we should first observe the tightness of the belt. If the building is too tight, it will affect the speed of the pulley. In severe cases, the motor shaft may be worn. If the installation is too loose, it may reduce the machine’s working efficiency and cause slippage. If the belt has low aging tension, we need to replace the belt in time.

3. Pulley mounting hole: The mounting hole of the pulley is in direct contact with the motor shaft and is also an essential part of determining whether the machine can run. We need to regularly observe whether the installation holes are clean and whether there are impurities in them. Because contaminants are likely to damage the mounting holes, if mounting holes are damaged, the pulley will not be able to use.
