Plastic Rack and Pinion
Racks and pinions are mechanical components that convert rotary motion into linear motion. It is commonly working in industrial environments and vehicle steering mechanisms. This equipment is usually making of ABS plastic and is yellow. The applications of racks and pinions vary widely, but they are generally working for lifting and clamping purposes.
The basic design of the rack and pinion is similar to that of a conventional gearbox, with some differences. The first is shape. Traditional racks and pinions are rectangular but can also be circular or crescent-shaped. The gear teeth of the circular rack are cut into the rod in a crescent shape.
