Screw Jack for Jump Form
Screw jack SWL series worm and screw elevators are widely used in machinery, metallurgy, construction, water conservancy equipment, and other industries and have many functions, such as lifting, lowering, propelling with accessories, overturning, and various height and position adjustments.
The swL worm and screw elevator is an essential lifting component, which has many advantages such as compact structure, small volume, light weight, comprehensive power source, no noise, convenient installation, flexible use, multiple functions, multiple supporting forms, high reliability, long service life, etc. It can be used individually or in combination and can accurately control and adjust the lifting or pushing height according to specific procedures. A motor or other power can directly drive it, or it can be manually driven. It has different structure types and assembly types, and the lifting height can be customized according to user requirements.
It is usually found in car garages that mechanical jacks use physical means to lift and lower loads, usually ranging from 1.5 tons to 3 tons. A screw jack is a kind of ordinary mechanical jack that works through the motor or lever rotated by the operator. The screw uses the shape of its thread to lift or lower the load or moves the nut to lift when the screw is rotated. The mechanical jack is self-locking, which means that when the jack is powered off, the screws remain in place until the power is restored. This setting makes the mechanical jack safer than the hydraulic jack because the user does not have to worry about power failure.
Mechanical jacks are used to change the stage design, change the setting of woodworking machines and adjust radio telescopes. In the construction industry, screw jacks (also known as house jacks) are used to lift buildings from the foundation for maintenance or relocation. In these applications, multiple jacks and wooden cribs temporarily support the structure until the required lifting height is reached. Screw jacks can also be used to lift old beams or install new beams.

Screw jack for Elevator model selection
According to the wire travel and lifting load, refer to Figure 1 – Figure 4 to find out the model of the required lift, and then check the lifting force and lifting speed table to check whether the lifting speed meets the requirements.
For example, the lifting load is F=20kN, the lead screw travel is 400mm, and the lifting speed is 0.65m/min. Try to find the required lift.
According to F=20kN, screw travel=400mm; refer to Figure 2 and select S Ⅵ 5 elevator. Then check the lifting force and lifting speed table to verify that only 0.526m/min speed is allowed for the Sw5 elevator under 20KN load. Only a large model elevator can be reselected. After checking the lifting force and lifting speed table, it is known that the allowable lifting speed of SwL10 under 20KN load is 1.44m/min, which meets the requirements.

How a Screw Jack Works
A screw jack is a gearbox assembly (worm gear or bevel gear) and a transmission product (lead screw, ball screw or roller lead screw) that converts rotation into linear motion by using a motor. They can be used to push, pull, pull, lock, unlock, tilt, rotate, roll, slide and lift or lower loads, ranging from a few kilograms to thousands of tons.
A screw jack is an essential part of automatic machinery. Safety and legislative issues have contributed to the automation of heavy cargo handling and lifting, particularly in areas where workplace and health and safety regulations have been developed.
The trend from hydraulic drive to electromechanical drive.
Screw jacks applications for high-load. The competitive technology under high load is often hydraulic technology; However, the energy efficiency of the hydraulic system is lower than the electromechanical drive provided by the screw jack.
No matter how much work is required for hydraulic positioning, the hydraulic system will waste energy because the fluid circulates under constant pressure. A hydraulic jack or plunger requires constant pressure to maintain its position while holding the load in place. In contrast, the motor used to drive the jackscrew uses energy only when driving the load to the desired position.
The advantages of the electromechanical system over the hydraulic system:
- To improve safety, the screw jack can be self-locking in case of power failure
- Demand for more energy-efficient machinery
- Demand for higher precision machinery
- Machines requiring less maintenance
- Machines that require less human intervention to build processes
- Increased drive range for variable positions
- Transfer force accurately and steadily
- Cleaning Machinery
