Short Pitch Conveyor Chain Attachments
Short Pitch Conveyor Chain Attachments may be adapted to conveying applications by the addition of attachments. The standard attachment types include bent or straight-type attachments on one or both sides, extended pins, and wide contour attachments.Standard Roller Chain Attachment: A1, A2, K1, K2, SA1, SA2, SK1, SK2, WA1, WA2, WK1, WK2, D1, D5, GK1.The purpose of using roller chain attachments is to offer a wider range of capabilities for your roller chains. We offer a lot of attachments that can be used with roller chains that are specific to certain special functions. When you couple attachments with roller chains, you’ll find that your roller chains are even more capable of moving heavy equipment while remaining cost-effective, reliable, and sturdy.

What is Roller Chain Pitch?
The size of a chain is determined by three measurements: pitch, gauge and drive link count. Roller chain pitch is the distance between three rivets divided by two. Gauge is the thickness of the drive links where they connect to form a loop. Drive link count refers to how many drive links are in a chain loop. The drive sprocket must be the same pitch as the chain, and if applicable, the bar nose sprocket must also match.
How Do You Attach a Roller Chain?
For starters, you’re going to need an angle grinder, either a chain or punch screw, chain vise and either a level, straight edge or laser alignment piece of equipment. For the first step, you’ll take the riveted part of the two pins and grind them with the grinder, removing any cotter pins if you have to. Then, make sure the chain is secure in the vise. Use the secondary and primary punches and remove one of the pin sets. For step three, check both the parallel shaft and sprocket axial alignments using either the level, straight edge or laser tool. A misaligned chain will hold uneven loads across its width, resulting in uneven wear on roller link plates and sprockets. Sprockets should be placed as close as possible to bearings. Then you’ll install both chain ends to the sprocket and link them together and fasten them with cotters or a spring clip (you might need some help to support the chain).
