SS 3030 Stainless Steel Taper Lock Bushing
The tapered lock bushing(3030 Taper Lock Bushing) is an important part of the shaft assembly. These bushings are secured to the shaft using tapered surfaces to provide flexibility between the main and other components. Tapered flanges are machined to ISO standards, while keyways and threads are part of the design. Bushings of this type are also mounted on tapered hubs or shafts. Bushings of this type are used to mechanically connect two or more shafts while still ensuring a tight fit.
When choosing a tapered locking bushing, it is import aessential attention to the size of the bolt holes. Standard sizes are listed in the size chart, but it is important to note that actual bolt holes may vary. Use the size chart to determine the bushing that fits your needs. Applied bushings are made of sintered steel and are guaranteed to meet your demanding applications. You can use grease or oil to protect the bushing and make sure it is in good condition.
The tapered lock bushing has a through-hole length 8 degrees shorter than the diameter of the shaft. It is installed using screws or blind socket head cap screws, driving the bushing into the bore of the assembly and compressing the inner diameter of the bushing to bond the shaft. Tapered Lock Bushings are available in a variety of shaft bpostiameters from 1.25″ to 1.25″. Metric apertures are indicated by “MM”. Tape.”d locking bushing is flush with a pulley or sprocket.
Conical locking bushings are locking mechanisms for power transmission drives. The tapered sections of precision cast iron components are computer etched to identify dimensions. High-strength screws secure the tapered sectionarea hub, providing a secure clamping fit. This type of mechanism is also easy to install and remove, minimizing machining time and avoiding delays. Two types o locking bushings are available: cast iron and stainless steel.

What is the Taper on a Taper Lock Bushing?
If you want to buy a new taper lock bushing for your derailleur, you need to know what kind of taper it has. There are two basic types: straight and tapered. The former is the most common and comes in various sizes, including metric, and the latter is working in industrial and professional applications. Although simple, both types of bushings require careful installation and attention to detail.
Standard Taper-Lock bushings are flush with pulleys and sprockets and are 1.5″ in diameter. While flanged bushings make with flat bores. Both tapered bushings are available in different lengths, so choosing the correct bushing for your application is critical.
