The tapered lock bushing(3030 Taper Lock Bushing) is an important part of the shaft assembly. These bushings are secured to the shaft using tapered surfaces to provide flexibility between the main and other components. Tapered flanges are machined to ISO standards, while keyways and threads are part of the design. Bushings of this type are also mounted on tapered hubs or shafts. The tapered lock bushing has a through-hole length 8 degrees shorter than the diameter of the shaft. It is installed using screws or blind socket head cap screws, driving the bushing into the bore of the assembly and compressing the inner diameter of the bushing to bond the shaft.
