3-Point Hitch Mower Cutter Bar (Tractor-mounted Mower Cutter Bar) GC for Disc Mowers
The mower(Tractor-mounted 3-Point Hitch Mower Cutter Bar) is mainly working for the harvesting of various types of livestock grass. Such as alfalfa, ryegrass, oat grass and other forage grass harvesting. Disc mower has a high working efficiency, more suitable for cutting larger crops than reciprocating mowers. Mowers are connecting to the rear side of the tractor suspension tractor frame to the power output shaft driven operation.
The machine has 2-8 high-speed rotating cutters, and each cutter is equipped with two blades and three blades. They can work at high speeds up to 1-2 hectares per hour, the machine is driving with all gears. So that the work is stable, low failure rate, low maintenance costs, due to the use of spring suspension and the belt under the rotation. The knife beam is low, easy to lift and lower, can be close to the ground to cut, not easy to damage the grass.

Advantages of 3-Point Hitch Mower Cutter Bar (Tractor-mounted Mower Cutter Bar) GC
The 3-point hitch mower cutter bar, specifically designed for disc mowers like the GC, offers several advantages. Here are some of the key benefits:
1. Precise Cutting: Disc mowers, such as the GC, utilize multiple cutting discs that rotate at high speeds to provide precise and clean cutting. The design of the cutter bar ensures an even distribution of cutting force across the entire width, resulting in a consistent and uniform cut. This is particularly beneficial for maintaining lawns, pastures, or fields with a neat appearance.
2. Faster Mowing: The GC disc mower cutter bar typically has a wider cutting width compared to other types of mowing equipment. This results in faster mowing as a larger area can be covered in each pass. It allows for efficient and time-saving operation, reducing the overall mowing time required to complete a task.
3. Versatility: The 3-point hitch design of the disc mower cutter bar makes it highly versatile. It can be easily attached to the rear of a tractor or other compatible vehicles, allowing for compatibility with different tractor models and sizes. This versatility enables farmers and landowners to utilize their existing equipment for mowing applications.
4. Adjustable Cutting Height: The GC disc mower cutter bar often features an adjustable cutting height mechanism. This allows the operator to easily change the cutting height based on the specific requirements of the terrain or vegetation being mowed. It provides flexibility to adapt to different grass lengths or types of vegetation, ensuring optimal results.
5. Durability: Disc mowers like the GC are built to withstand demanding conditions and heavy use. The cutter bar is typically constructed with durable materials such as hardened steel, which can withstand the impact of cutting various types of vegetation. This robust construction ensures a long lifespan and reduces maintenance and replacement costs.
6. Easy Maintenance: The design of the GC disc mower cutter bar often includes features that make maintenance tasks easier. For example, the cutting discs can be quickly accessed and replaced if necessary, allowing for efficient maintenance and minimizing downtime.
Applications
The 3-point hitch rotary disc mower is a versatile agricultural equipment commonly used for various applications. Here are some agricultural applications where the 3-point hitch rotary disc mower is frequently employed:
(1) Hay Production: The rotary disc mower is widely used in hay production. It efficiently cuts and conditions grass, legumes, and other forage crops, making them suitable for drying and baling. The fast spinning discs and precise cutting action of the rotary disc mower ensure a clean and uniform cut, which is crucial for high-quality hay.
(2) Pasture Management: Pastures require regular maintenance to promote healthy forage growth and provide optimal grazing conditions for livestock. The rotary disc mower is used to mow pastures, controlling weed growth, stimulating regrowth, and maintaining an even sward height for grazing animals.
(3) Silage Production: Silage is a common method of preserving forage crops for livestock feed. The rotary disc mower is used to cut forage crops like corn, sorghum, or grasses at the appropriate stage of maturity for silage production. The efficient cutting action of the rotary discs facilitates the chopping process and ensures consistent particle size for effective fermentation.
(4) Cover Crop Management: Cover crops are increasingly used in agriculture to enhance soil health, control erosion, and improve nutrient cycling. The rotary disc mower is employed to terminate cover crops by mowing them before planting the main cash crop. It helps manage cover crop biomass, facilitating decomposition and nutrient release into the soil.
(5) Weed Control: Weeds can significantly impact crop productivity, and the rotary disc mower can be utilized for weed control. By mowing unwanted vegetation, the rotary disc mower helps to reduce weed competition, prevent seed production, and promote a healthier crop stand.
(6) Orchard and Vineyard Maintenance: The rotary disc mower is employed in orchards and vineyards to maintain vegetation control between rows. By mowing grass and weeds, it minimizes competition for resources and reduces the risk of disease and pest infestation.
Precautions for Use 3-Point Hitch Rotary Disc Mower
When using a 3-point hitch rotary disc mower, it’s important to follow certain precautions to ensure safe and efficient operation. Here are some key precautions to consider:
1. Inspect and Maintain: Regularly inspect the rotary disc mower for any signs of wear, damage, or loose parts. Ensure that all components are properly greased and lubricated. Replace any worn or damaged parts before using the equipment.
2. Adjust Cutting Height: Set the cutting height of the rotary disc mower according to the specific requirements of the crop or vegetation being mowed. Avoid setting the cutting height too low, as it can result in excessive wear on the cutting blades and increase the risk of damage to the mower.
3. Clear the Area: Before operating the rotary disc mower, remove any obstacles, debris, or foreign objects from the mowing area. This includes rocks, branches, wires, or any other potential hazards that could damage the mower or be thrown by the blades.
4. Safe Hitching: Ensure that the 3-point hitch is properly attached and secured to the tractor according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Check that all connection points, pins, and latches are in good condition and locked securely.
5. Avoid Overloading: Do not exceed the recommended capacity of the rotary disc mower. Overloading the equipment can lead to excessive strain, reduced performance, and potential damage to the mower and tractor.
6. Shut Down Safely: When finishing mowing or taking a break, disengage the power take-off (PTO) and turn off the tractor engine before leaving the operator’s seat. Wait for all moving parts to come to a complete stop before performing any maintenance or adjustments.
