The basic structure of WPKS Series Worm Gearboxes is mainly composed of transmission parts, worm gear, shaft, bearing, box, and accessories. It can be divided into three essential structural parts: box, worm gear, and worm, approach, and shaft combination. The box is the base of all accessories in the worm gear reducer. It is an essential accessory to support and fix the shafting components, ensure the correct relative position of the transmission accessories and keep the load acting on the reducer. The worm gear is mainly used to transmit the motion and power between the two staggered shafts, and the bearing and shaft are mainly used to send energy, operate, and improve efficiency.

Features of WPKS Series Worm Gearboxes

1. Small machine shape, lightweight, without shaft coupling, chain, sprockets, and other transmission parts.
2. The space is small; the input shaft is mounted directly to the machine side, which can effectively save space.
3. Low cost. Due to the direct installation, without transmission parts, assembly time can be reduced, and in general, reduce the cost.
4. Easy installation, stable operation, long service life, and high carrying capacity. Because of direct docking and motor installation, it can completely prevent contact with transmission parts and does not need a safety cover which can ensure safety.

Working Conditions of Cast Iron Worm Gearbox

1. The worm speed of the worm gear reducer shall not exceed 1500r/min.
2. The working environment temperature is – 40 ℃ -+40 ℃. When the working environment temperature is lower than 0 ℃, the lubricating oil is heated to above 0 ℃ before starting. Take the cooling measures when the working environment temperature exceeds 40 ℃.
3. The inlet shaft of the worm gear reducer can rotate forward and backward.

Precautions:
1. Worm gear shaft cannot be used as an input shaft.
2. The machine is not refueled when leaving the factory. It can only be operated after adding enough machine oil.
3. The matching motor (i.e., power) shall not exceed the value specified on the nameplate.
4. If the user wants to change the direction of the shaft, he can remove the two end covers of the lower shaft, take out the worm shaft and adjust it by 180. Load it. Drive the second shaft slowly to make it mesh.
